Just about any news regarding the Android lovers’ favorite brand SAMSUNG is always welcomed, here are some new updates that may jingle!

Samsung models Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J2 core encompassing Android 9 Pie have been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and weeks after Samsung started bringing out the One UI beta update for the Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy S8 based on Android 9 Pie, latest development swarmed in. It can be assumed by this fact that there is a possibility in the near future that the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J2 Core will be tested with the new Android update. Currently, both the phones comprise of Samsung Experience UX. Galaxy J4, however, runs regular Android Oreo whereas Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) is being run on the Galaxy J2 Core, under the proprietary interface.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Core unit having the model number as SM-J260F and being based on Android pie is issued with a certificate as revealed by the Wi-Fi Alliance website. Wi-Fi certification for Samsung Galaxy J4 with model number SM-J400F is confirmed by another listing likewise. The date for both the certifications was 7th February. Samsung Members app’s roadmap gave away in December last year that sometime in May, the Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J4 will receive the Android update though any news related to Galaxy J2 Core update hasn’t been revealed by the South Korean company yet.

Last year in August, Samsung Galaxy J2 Core debuted with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) in India. The phone doesn’t come along with any catchy specs being an Android Go model, moreover, it comes with an inferior 5-inch qHD TFT display panel and 1 GB of RAM.

In order to deliver the latest experience for the Galaxy J2 Core, Samsung is likely to push Android 9 Pie (Go edition). Topping up the most optimized platform as announced last year, the smartphone may run One UI as well.

The Android Pie update for both the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J2 Core has been confirmed as revealed through the listing that had been featured on the Wi-Fi Alliance website. Though it is ambiguous when the new update may hit the devices publicly.

Currently, Android Pie is being tested through One UI beta by Samsung on the Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 models, however, recently received the new update in selected regions.
