Apple has been focusing on audio products lately, as we have seen the release of ‘Airpods’ and the release of the ‘Homepod’ which was basically Apple’s take on the Google’s Google Home and Amazon’s Echo. Not only that, Apple also owns Beats by Dre as well which clearly shows that the company wants to cover the audio department of the market too.

Reports from Bloomberg points that Apple is working on its own pair of high-end, noise-canceling, over-ear headphones, with a launch expected as early as the end of this year. The headphones will supposedly rival brands like Bose, Sennheiser, and their own brand Beats by Dre. Bloomberg reports that the new headphones have apparently also faced similar problems as the HomePod, which was delayed and went through multiple redesigns before the actual launch.

Apple has been working on the headphones since last year, and the new headset will have wireless pairing exactly like the AirPods. But, Bloomberg sources said there was a possibility that the design of the headphones would be altered, or the entire project could be dumped and started from square one altogether. New reports from some sources suggest that “the headphones will be as convenient as AirPods with better sound quality and a better design and comfort.”

As of now, there is no report on the pricing or the exact release and unveiling date of these headphones from Apple, but given that the two Audio products from Apple, HomePod priced at $349 and Airpods at 160$ priced higher than other smart speakers and wireless earphones in the market, as expected it’s likely that the Apple headphone will come with a premium price tag later this year.
