We have a new competitor in the GPU market!
A few weeks ago, we heard the rumors that ASRock is planning to jump into the GPU manufacturing market as well. The rumors looked promising enough, and today we have the first teaser from ASrock on our hands!

According to previous rumors, ASRock was entering the graphics card market in April with a “focus mainly on AMD-based products.” There is no indication whether the card shown is rocking an AMD or Nvidia GPU.
If we take a good look on the details of this particular video we can see the card looks like a dual-slot affair with a single 8-pin PCIe connector, so we should expect it to arrive as a custom Radeon RX 580 and not a custom Radeon RX Vega 56/64 as they require 2 x 8-pin PCIe power connectors. We could be surprised, but I doubt it.
ASRock’s branding sits on top. It also appears that ASRock is creating a Phantom Gaming line for its graphics cards. We wouldn’t be surprised if Phantom Gaming came to the development of an entire line of gaming gear, similar to what ASUS did with its Republic of Gamers (ROG) and Strix categories.
It’s great to see ASRock making it to the GPU market as well because their motherboard manufacturing has been flawless throughout the years. ASRock is a well-known brand and they know how to produce good products, so ASRock can be a potential competitor for the current GPU manufacturers. We hope to see more details on the ASRock GPU in the coming days.
