It’s another day and there has been another leak by Videocardz, this time it’s about the ASUS GeForce RTX series graphics cards. All of the variants DUAL, Turbo, and STRIX have been spotted in all their glory that the world can see. Although, it seems like that there’s no sign of a Founders Edition GPU.
The first card in the lineup is the STRIX variant of the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti, which is probably one of the most eagerly anticipated variants of the NVIDIA’s RTX 2080 Ti. The card features a very high-performance triple cooler design and the Aura SYNC for spectacular RGB lighting that goes along with it, this will be the card for the high-end rigs. This card is the OC version featuring 11 GB of GDDR6 memory buffer along with a 352-bit bus. This card will have 4352 CUDA Cores as well as a ray tracing engine.
If the specifications by PNY are anything to go by, then the TDP should be 285 Watts as well for the ASUS RTX 2080 Ti STRIX. On the other hand, the clock speeds will probably vary slightly. The PNY card had a turbo up to 1545 MHz, so you can expect the STRIX OC to be able to go a bit higher than that, maybe somewhere around 10 MHz – 50 MHz higher. The real-life clocks will usually be anywhere between 100 MHz – 200 MHz higher because of the dynamic overclocking in the drivers, but keep in mind that the Turbo boosts are incredibly misleading.
For those people who prefer simplicity then the ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Turbo is a good choice for them as the clock rates of this variant should be lower than the STRIX but the performance will still be really good – not to mention the ray tracing magical engine which NVIDIA is sure to talk about in their upcoming Gamescom launch event. Yet, the prices are not confirmed but we have been hearing some good things that compared to the launch price of $1000 that PNY went with, it indicates that the RTX 2080 might retail for somewhere around $649.
Another graphics card which was also pictured is the ASUS RTX 2080 DUAL graphics card featuring a classy design that will surely hit the spot with a lot of black and white build users. Like most of the RTX 2080 variants, the RTX 2080 DUAL will also feature 8 GB of GDDR6 memory buffer having 2944 CUDA Cores. The PNY variant had a turbo clock of 1710 MHz and like always you can expect the STRIX to have a clock slightly higher. Thanks to the PNY leak, the confirmed specifications are given below:
