ASUS ROG just launched the Thor series of 1200W and Platinum 850W Platinum power supply units.

The ROG Thor 1200W Platinum sports custom ROG heatsinks that possess 2X more surface area than standard forms of power supplies and the ROG Thor 850W is too equipped with them as well. Possessing bigger heatsinks and other premium components implies that there will be cooler operation under load, an extensive lifespan for key components.

The ROG Thor series PSUs are also implemented with a patented 135mm Wing-blade fan configuration that can also be found on some high-end ASUS graphics cards. The design proposes enhanced static pressure to cool components efficiently at moderate RPMs than a regular fan and is certified IP5X dust-resistant. By engaging the rear-mounted 0dB switch, the Wing-blade fan can stop completely when temperatures are low

The PSUs have addressable RGB lighting that lights up the ROG logo on the front and can be controlled through a compatible ASUS motherboard and Aura Sync software. Premium separately sleeved cables and cable combs are included in the box so system builders can immediately create a customized build.

The internals of the PSU series is based on Seasonic’s top optimized PSU components and heatsinks.
