I just wrote about CS:GO breaking their previous concurrent players record by 75,000. The game had more than 1 million players online yesterday. Similarly today, we have news, that Call of Duty Warzone hit 15 million players in 4 days after its release. The game is now undoubtedly the fastest growing Battle Royale Game ever.

Call of Duty official Twitter account tweeted “we crossed 15 million players earlier today, thank you”.

In my opinion Call of Duty: Warzone has taken all the good points from popular battle royale games like Apex Legends, PUBG, and Fortnite. Afterward, they have scaled the good points, and left out the weak points, which their respective communities usually criticized.

Call of Duty: Warzone

According to Daniel Ahmad, who is Niko Partners senior analyst, Apex Legends had 10 million players in 3 days, Fortnite had 10 million players in two weeks, and Call of Duty Warzone had 15 million players in 3 days. The margin is clearly very significant, as you can see.

Looking at the rate, after 4-5 weeks, most games had more than 20+ Million players. However, Call of Duty Warzone has already achieved this in 3 days, we can expect almost double numbers in coming weeks.

Coronavirus?
Lastly, I just wrote in CS:GO article, that Coronavirus is the main reason behind this epic player base. All offices, schools, universities, and public places are closed. People are forced to stay home, and most of them are likely to open a computer and play their favorite games. Furthermore, Call of Duty: Warzone has had very less to no critics, and people are seemingly enjoying it.
