Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a competitive first-person shooter with a huge fan base. If you didn’t know about CS:GO, then you are probably living under a rock. Anyways, CS:GO was first released back on August 21, 2012, and it gathered a massive fan following.
Moving on, a user on Reddit u/GabeFollower posted the following screenshot. The screenshot includes various names of things that are parts of a snowball fight.
Now, Valve has leaked information like this before, and it didn’t make it to the game. So, this has not been confirmed yet, but there have been other times where valve actually added something to the game that was leaked, for example, the Danger Zone update was leaked a while ago and had a file called “survival” which lead to players thinking there would be a battle royale, and it ended up happening. More or less, we might see it in the future, and it even might get added to the game this Christmas.
However, the user then went on to post a thirty seconds video on another post on Reddit to clarify that there indeed were files pointing at a snowball fight update. Some doubters said that these weren’t CS:GO files, so he went on to instruct them to see for themselves. If you have Alienswarm SDK open pak01_dir.vpk located in CS:GO folder, then go to ../particles/weapons/.. and later export file called cs_weapon_fx.pcf.
Nonetheless, I am super excited about this, and I hope that Valve will add this to the game. It would be super fun to play and mess around with friends. All we can do now is sit back and wait, and hopefully, we will get this update.
