Although the new Galaxy S10 and OnePlus 7 Pro are two of the fastest devices on the market right now they are being eclipsed by an unlikely rival.
The new Asus ROG Phone 2 has just been unveiled and it offers some seriously impressive specs.Tucked inside this device is the latest Qualcomm 855 Plus processor which is clocked up to 2.96GHz for a four per cent performance boost over the standard Snapdragon 855.
Along with being massively powerful, the ROG Phone 2 also has a very fast 6.59-inch display which includes a refresh rate of 120Hz.
There’s also 12GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage and a clever cooling system which uses a vapour chamber to stop things getting too hot under the hood.
That means it should offer an even more slick experience than the brilliant OnePlus 7 Pro which has a 90Hz refresh.
Other features of this ultimate gaming phone include a 48-megapixel camera, embedded fingerprint scanner and rather unique and futuristic design.
Asus says that the ROG Phone 2 has been designed from the ground up for fully immersive gaming, with its unique landscape-oriented design incorporating upgraded AirTrigger II ultrasonic sensors, Dual Surrounding Vibration technology, and powerful front-facing stereo speakers.
There will also be some brand-new accessories including the TwinView Dock II for immersive dual-screen gaming, and the multi-configuration ROG Kunai Gamepad for the ultimate console-like gaming experience.
There’s currently no word on price although The Verge is reporting that it will start from $899 when it arrives in September.
In short this phone is an absolute beast and in no way the current flagship devices can match this in performance. This phone has almost everything which makes it stand out from the rest of the devices. Let’s see what more it has to offer.
