Ubisoft confirmed Far Cry: New Dawn yesterday on The Game Awards. The game takes place in Hope County 17 years after the nuclear explosion that happened in Far Cry 5. The protagonist battles against the evil sisters Mickie and Joe. Mickie and Joe are the leaders of the highwaymen. They have their own settlement with a lot of sick people who will rob and kill for the remaining resources. You will have a settlement as well called Prosperity that you will build over time.

Olivia Alexander, The writer for Far Cry: New Dawn provided us with the backstory of the evil twin sisters Mickie and Joe in an interview with Gamespot:

They’re incredibly shaped by the world that they had to grow up in,” Alexander said. “It was a world of scarcity and lawlessness, and any good villain always think that they’re doing the right thing and that’s exactly the case with twins. They’re here for a good time, not a long time. The Survivor philosophy is to plan for tomorrow. These guys live for today. They are very much the product of a world of, like, nihilism. They’re very much rather than oh, you know, God is dead, let’s be sad, it’s hey, nothing matters–let’s have a party and enjoy yourselves. Even if having a party hurts people around.

Although it takes place in Hope County, it looks completely different with a more vibrant environment. It gives off Mad Max vibes because of how things are set up and as well as the characters. Far Cry: New Dawn is going to release on 15th February 2019, which is a good thing for the fans because they won’t have to wait for long. Many characters from the previous game who survived might make it to Far Cry: New Dawn according to the creators. We will get new companions in the game such as a new dog called Timber and a giant boar named Horatio. And the new dog can now ride with you in a vehicle, so that’s a plus as well.

Conclusion:

The game looks pretty cool, but in my opinion, it doesn’t look like a post-apocalyptic world because there is greenery everywhere. However, I don’t mind the vibrant colors and beautiful sceneries. We all look forward¬†to the game.
