Firefox has added an extension in its test pilot program known as “price-wise” and it will help online shoppers to track prices of specific items and receive an alert when prices go down. It currently supports five websites, Amazon, Best Buy, eBay, Walmart, and Home Depot. More websites are planned for the future though.

Price-tracking extensions are not something new though. There are already many extensions on Firefox browser which tracks prices across multiple websites. This kind of services shows you a historical price for an item.

Price-wise isn’t hard to use. All you have to do is download the extension and then go to the product you want to track, then tap on the “Price Wise” icon on the top right corner, and select “Add this product”

However, this extension as for now is only a beta feature. It could be changed or maybe even eliminated in the future.
