5G Networks :

Since mobile carriers are starting to lighten up their 5G networks, the race has started for other mobile developers to start supporting the 5G network too. While manufacturers like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, etc, presumably won’t produce 5G phones until 2019 or 2020, China’s Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 was one of the first mobile phones to advertise 5G support in a mobile phone and and they might release the phone by the end of this year which would make Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 to be the first phone released with 5G support.

5G Wireless Carriers :

Wireless Carriers like T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon are preparing for 5G Connectivity, the subsequent generation of mobile networking that ensures to deliver quicker download and upload speeds to consumers. Hardware producers are also becoming ready, with plans to create hardware which will support 5G. A new rumor hints that Apple will deliver its first 5G phone in 2020.

Intel’s 5G Chip :

The FCC conceded Apple’s permission to test with 5G technology last year, producing the groundwork for a 5G phones. The fast company reports that the phone will be released in 2020. The statement from Fast Company always reports that Apple is going to use Intel’s 8161 5G modem chip. The 8161 will be manufactured using Intel’s 10-nanometer method, which enhances transistor density for efficiency and speed. Although, there are some heat issues with the Intel’s 5G which need to be fixed. Apple has also been talking with MediaTek to provide the chips as ‘Plan B’ if Intel failed to accommodate them.

The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chips in the 2020 model :

Apple is currently utilizing Intel for the modems in its 2018 phones, the XR, XS, and the XS MAX. But they are presumedly not going to accept the Intel’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chips for the 2020 model. Intel could be the main volume operator for its modem. At the time, Intel also told that “5G customer engagements and roadmap have not changed for 2018 through 2020. We remain committed to our 5G plans and projects.”
