The wait is finally over as Google just sent out invites for an event occurring in the upcoming month. Yes, you guessed it right, this is almost certainly going to be the official announcement of the completely leaked Google Pixel 3 and XL smartphones.
However, looking at the invite we don’t have many clues but just a simple “I <3 NY” slogan, which tenuously implies at the Pixel 3 with the cipher in the heart emojicon, but due to the devices being leaked on a large scale, Google apparently doesn’t need to do a lot of promotion for the announcement.
The Pixel 3 and the XL variant are going to be the third generation of the Google exclusive branded Pixel line that was originally introduced back in 2016. Taking a look at some past occurrence, hardware units/models of the Pixel 3 and XL have made their way into the world through some major leaks, giving us a very clear sense of what to expect from the event on October 9th. By merging all of the leaks into a brief, we can expect some design tweaks, including an alleged controversial massive notch on the Pixel 3 XL and a backside made out of glass for wireless charging on both variants. Both devices will also sport dual front-facing cameras and a single rear camera.
As of now, the Pixel smartphones are the major devices that are creating the hype, But let’s not forget that in the previous event Google announced an entirely new line up of hardware products which had Pixelbook, Google Home Mini and Max, Pixel Buds, and clips. So expect some other big surprises as well and not just Google Pixel on October 9th.
