H1Z1 is off to a great start and seeing big success by bringing the Battle Royale game mode to PS4. With just having its first console launch on 22nd of May, players are embracing H1Z1, and within 24 hours the game has reached more than 1.5 million players. H1Z1 focuses more on realism than Fortnite, like PUBG, which has seen amazing success of its own. Yet, because of an exclusive arrangement with Microsoft, PUBG has its only console version on Xbox One, which leaves H1Z1 to fill that void on PS4.

H1Z1 producer Terrence Yee said, “We believe that we have found the right balance for battle royale game mode on console and players have responded positively to our reimagining of H1Z1. We will continue to refine the game based on feedback from Open Beta to ensure the best experience possible for our actively growing community.”

With a full release scheduled for later this year, H1Z1 Battle Royale is an Open Beta for PS4. The game’s been redesigned for PS4, with a new UI, a larger weapon arsenal, and a faster-paced gameplay. The game features a tweaked control system which is featuring a grab-and-go equipment system and a radial weapon menu that makes looting easier, along with increasingly lucrative and frequent airdrops having armor and high power weapons. Unlike the PC version of H1Z1, the max number of players caps out at 100.

H1Z1 Battle Royale was previously called as H1Z1 King of the Kill. The game reinvented itself as Battle Royale version of a Zombie-survival game, having each match where the game puts the players against each other to be the last one standing. Players have the option to partner up with another player or play solo in H1Z1. Players can also play in groups of five striving to be the last team standing or in a mode called Auto Royale in which four players come into the battle by driving a car where they attempt to survive by collecting power-ups and surviving till the end. H1Z1 is open to Xbox One version, says developer Daybreak Games, however it hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.
