Microsoft recently made the announcement that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will soon be available on the PC platform. It will be available on Microsoft’s own store and as well as Steam and has already been listed on the digital storefront.
The whole collection will be released separately in parts of order with Halo: Reach being the first and then be followed by Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4. 343 industries will be focusing on PC specific features of the game such as 4k and ultrawide, curved monitor display support so that the games truly feel like a PC release. Microsoft went on further to say that the game will be featuring community feedback based updates to further better the experience for gamers.
“We’re embarking on a journey with our community to build a PC experience that delivers on PC gamer expectations. The team is passionately committed to ensuring that all of the features, bells, and whistles expected in a modern PC title Halo: with MCC.” said Brian Jarrard, Community Director at Microsoft.
Although the games have been listed on the digital storefronts, the pricing and dates are yet to be announced. There has been plenty of speculation these days following the competition coming in from The Epic Games Store as to which storefront a game is going to choose to list their game on. However, given how strong the ties are between Microsoft and Steam, it should not come as a surprise that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be available on Steam.
