HP has been keeping up with the gaming industry with its Omen line up over the past couple of years, and now HP is oscillating towards more casual gamers with its new Pavillion Gaming line. As Dell’s new budget line up just got released and MSI unveiled some interesting new gaming laptops as well, it is the perfect time for HP to launch their new line up.
The new line up includes two desktops and a laptop, at launch. The main idea behind this new line up was to attract every consumer and not just gamers, HP said it’s meant for people who are interested in an all-rounder PC while having some interesting gaming functionality as well.
The Pavilion Gaming Laptop comes in only one size, 15.6-inch, but will be available in various kind of configurations, starting at $799. All models will come with Intel’s new 8th generation i5 and i7 CPU’s, 8GB of RAM (base model), combined with a 1TB HDD and an SSD. The available options for the GPU’s are going to be the Radeon RX 560X, GTX 1050Ti, or the higher end GTX 1060 MAX-Q from Nvidia. Optane 16GB memory will be optional also.
The laptop still exerts a gaming vibe, an angular design and keyboard lettering with a new futuristic style, with backlit available in White, green or purple color, matching accent colors on the laptop itself. 1080p 60HZ, 1080p 144hz, and a 4K 60HZ display options will be available at launch.
Then there are gaming desktops as well, Two Pavlion Gaming desktops, 690 and 790. The 690 will be a smaller unit for the people with space problems. However, the 690 fits half-length GPU’s and offers not so many options for the storage and RAM slots. 690 starts at $549 and the larger 790 will be starting at $749. The 790 supports 64GB of RAM as well.
The Pavilion Gaming products will be launching in May and June. In addition to the gaming products, HP is also updating its standard Pavilion laptops and desktops with new colors and, in some cases, 8th-generation processors.
