Intel has taken over the market with their high-end Z370 motherboards. Z370 is a successor of B360 and H310 chipset having a huge drag of technologies life SLI/Crossfire support, USB Type C and USB 3.1 Gen 2 support. But there is a chipset kind of drawback of Z370 chipset which doesn’t fully wield USB 3.1 Gen 2 support. So Intel is planning to cover this flaw and gain perfection and hit the market with their officially confirmed Z390 chipset motherboards using 14nm silicon unlike previously 22nm by Kaby-lake and Coffee-lake boards.
Intel recently released documental comparison of its 300 chipset motherboards for April 2018 update.

There is not much difference between Z370 and Z390 motherboards but only 6 out of 10 USB ports are Gen 2 ready & Intel also added support to the Z390 for Wireless-AC 2×2 160 MHz and Bluetooth 5 and that’s where Z390 is reconsidered as the top-end motherboard gonna available in the market for this year.
Bluechip, a German PC OEM recently posted a roadmap for Z390 chipset motherboard and it’s quite easier to understand with the information above if manipulated correctly.
