NVIDIA has begun the year with their release of the 1660Ti that has captured the $280 market and out performing its competitor from Team Red, the Radeon RX 590. The Turing based GTX GPU lineup will be getting two more additions ; the GeForce GTX 1660 and the GTX 1650.

According to the news coming in from DigiTimes sources say that Nvidia plans to “launch GTX 1660 on March 15 and GTX1650 on April 30, which will bear minimum price tags of US$229 and US$179, respectively“.

The release of these GPUs is said to ease the competition it has been facing from AMD recently with their aggressive pricing strategy and their timely discount on the RX Vega 56. With the market trend being shifted in the favour of NVIDIA following the release of the 1660Ti and RTX 2060 we can expect to see AMD spring back into action with competitive releases of their own.

There is still few more months till the expected release of the AMD Navi and we can also expect to see NVIDIA unveil their new 7nm Ampere which will further improve the competition in the GPU market. However, at this point in time with the current releases from NVIDIA and the performance their GPUs seem to be delivering at their respective price points, it is difficult to see whether people will even consider buying an AMD GPU at this moment in time.
