Rocket League has just been added to the list of games that are a part of Sony’s PlayStation Cross-Play Beta program. PS4 players already could be matched up against or with PC players before this update, however, this update makes it possible for players on an Xbox, Switch, PlayStation and the PC to be playing against and with each other in the same match.

This update is important in bringing up the player count that had dropped over the years and having the player base increase with this update is a plus. Searching for games in matchmaking times had gone higher and it was becoming harder for people playing solo to find games because of the low player count.

The next part of the update should include the ability for gamers to join parties with friends playing from different platforms enabling players from PC joining parties with their console buddies and vice versa.
