Square-Enix might be considering to get their own subscription system. President of Square-Enix Yosuke Matsuda said that they are interested in a subscription system for their game catalogue.

Matsuda said: “We do already provide games for Microsoft’s Game Pass, But at the end of the day, the direction that we’re thinking about is having a channel of our own.” Moreover,  Matsuda also said that this would require a considerable amount of investment and preparations to get this working. However, he also admitted that they will have to get to the point where they would be able to build their own service.

Square-Enix had a pretty good showing at E3 2019 so creating their own subscription system might be their big step and if they decided to bring their own channel then it won’t take too long.
