In August, an iOS 12 developer beta hinted to verify the rumors that the next iPad Pro would come with an ultra-thin bezel-less display, and without a home button. Now, a new icon found by 9to5Macseems to further validate the redesign.

This unique icon, which 9to5Mac says is found inside iOS, gives a much better look at the upcoming device, exhibiting thin bezels, curved corners, no notch, and no home button. The icon also flaunts off the volume buttons on the side, with a sleep/wake button on the top. The site remarks that the screen doesn’t seem to be edge-to-edge, but considers that the bezels could be somewhat larger due to how the icon itself is built.

This corresponds with the popular rumors that we’ve seen pop up this fall: that the iPads will have a bigger display, and that it’ll possess the Face ID system that will allow you to unlock the device by staring at it, although there doesn’t appear to be a notch similar to the iPhones. Other reports include that the new iPads will come with USB-C ports, an updated Apple Pencil, and possibly no headphone jack, obeying the characteristics of the recent iPhones.

We’ll attain the official information for sure this week, as Apple has held its iPad Pro and Mac event in New York City on October 30th.
