We recently covered the upcoming exclusives for the PlayStation 4, and now its Xbox One’s turn to gets it fair share of the limelight. Today, we are going to go through the Top 5 upcoming games for the Xbox One. Without further ado, let’s get right into this.

1. Gears 5

Gears 5 also known as Gears of War 5 is an upcoming third-person shooter and the sequel to Gears of War 4. In Gears 5 you take the role of Kate Diaz, a former outsider, and you have to find the origins of the Locust and find your family. The famous protagonist of the first three games of the series Marcus Fenix also returns along with JD. Fenix and his friend Delmont Walker.

The fans have always loved Gears of War games. Upon hearing news about the sequel, all fans got hyped and are patiently waiting for the release.

2. Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Release Date: 2019
Platforms: Xbox One, Microsoft Windows

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an upcoming 3D platform-adventure game being developed by Moon Studios. The player takes control of a guardian spirit called “Ori”. Players have to go through levels of puzzles. Ori and the Will of the Wisps introduce more advanced and fluent controls along with a new feature that will let players upgrade Ori’s skills and strength.

If you haven’t played the prequel of Ori and the Will of the Wisps then get to it because it will give you a better understanding of the game and it has won multiple awards.

3. Anthem

Anthem is an upcoming online multiplayer action role-playing game. Anthem features futuristic soldiers called the “Javelins”. The Javelins are divided into classes, and each class has their own abilities and superpowers. Anthem mainly focuses on multiplayer where players can have squads each squad can consist up to four players. In Anthem your squad goes up against vicious monsters and raiders.

Anthem is an exciting game, and we are looking forward to what BioWare is going to bring to the table.

4. Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is an upcoming story-driving first-person shooter game. Metro Exodus takes place in a post-apocalyptic Russa destroyed by the nuclear war; Metro Exodus is set two years after Metro: Last Light. The player must scavenge, and they can also craft items and customize their weapons. Players take control of Artyom, a ranger whose objective is to lead his fellow Spartan Rangers and escape the metro to pursue a new life. But, escaping with ease is out of the question because you will have mutated monsters opposing you.

4A Games added more features to the game one of the features include removing components from a weapon such as removing a scope from one gun and putting it on the other.

5. Skull & Bones

Skull & Bones is an upcoming action video game that is focused on pirates. Skull & Bones can be played both Singleplayer and Multiplayer. Players take control of a Pirate captain who sails from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean and takes part in naval battles. Players can fully customize their ships and even capture more vessels such as frigates, fleets, brigantines for aid in battles.

Ubisoft stunned everyone with the naval battles and free-roaming in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, so we are super excited for what Ubisoft will make of this game.

6. Jump Force

Jump Force is an upcoming fighting game developed by Spike Chunsoft. Jump Force takes several characters from various animes and mangas and processes into a single video game. You can play Jump Force either in singleplayer or online, in singleplayer story mode you create your character and fight alongside with powerful anime characters. In online you compete against other players in several modes such as 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3s.

For a lot of people including us, this is a dream come true.

7. Devil May Cry 5

After ten long years, Devil May Cry 5 has been finally announced, and everyone is more excited than ever. The legendary protagonists from the previous installments of the series Dante and Nero return along with a new character called V. V hires Dante to assist him in solving the series of attacks that have been made by the demons. Nero replaces his “Devil Bringer” arm that has been stolen with a “Devil Breaker” arm.

Overall, everyone is super excited for the game because it has been so long since the fans have seen a new Devil May Cry game.

8. Wolfenstein: Youngblood

In Wolfenstein: Youngblood you can play as one of the B.J. Blazkowicz’s twin daughters. The game takes place in the 1980s, 19 years after their father. The protagonist has to end what their father started by killing the Nazi soldiers. The twins will have different skill sets if you analyze the trailer you can see one of the twins uses the sniper rifle the other one uses melee.

9. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Release Date: March 22, 2019
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice takes place in 1500s Sengoku Japan where the protagonist’s arm gets severed by the samurai of the Ashina clan, and his lord gets kidnapped. The protagonist gets the nickname “one-armed wolf” because of him missing an arm and still showing an immense amount of bravery. Afterward, his arm gets replaced by a prosthetic arm and wields a katana and goes for revenge and get his lord back.

Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice shows a lot of potential, and if Ghost of Tsushima does end up releasing in 2019 then we will have two feudal Japan games.

10. Rage 2

Release Date: May 14, 2019
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows

Rage 2 takes place in a mutant-ridden post-apocalyptic world which takes place thirty years after the first installment. The protagonist is the last ranger walker and he must do anything necessary to survive. The game is open-world so you can free roam and you are given some freedom over your character such as sex, outfit, and skills. The game features vehicle combat so if you see a car out in the dust-ridden world you can drive it.

The game reminds me a lot of Mad Max because it is set in the same kind of environment. But, I think it will be a fun game nonetheless.
